Advanced Find

The Advanced Find function shows you the real power of your appointment book. Imagine trying to book an appointment for a customer who wants to come in on a tuesday or thursday of next month, and needs a color with Sally and a hair cut with Jim, and they prefer an appointment after 3. You would have to manually check each day for each stylist, to see if they can fit this in. With the Advanced Find function, you can search for any combination in seconds! As many employees and services and you want.

From the Daily Schedule, select Find Open from the Goto menu, or you can select Control-F from the keyboard.
The Advanced Find has a couple of sections you can use to customize your search. The yellow section is used to select stylists and services, the green section select the day to start the search on, the blue section allows you to load the customer's last appointment, and the red section, lists future availability for the services selected.

The stylists selection section allows you to select a stylist and service to be performed by this stylist. Click the Add button, and the selection dialog will start. Select the Stylist, and the House Service for this stylist. The selection will move to the right.   You can select multiple stylists and services, and add them to the right. Once you have selected all the services, click Ok.

Once you have select your stylists and services, you can change the order of the services provided, or you can choose to ignore order. If the order of the appointments to critical, make sure the "Order does Matter" check box. This ensures the appointments are booked in the order you have selected. If order is not important, clear this box, and the search will attempt to fit any order.

Once you have selected your services, the Availability window will be populated with future appointments that meet the requirements. Click one of the appointments to select it, and the details will appear below the list. The detail window will list all appointment blocks for a single day, that meet the requirements. Each appointment with each stylist, if you selected more than one, will appear in this window. Once you have selected the appointment set you want, select "Make This Appointment" to book the appointments.
