| The section in Blue, will list
items on the ticket. This includes both products and services. You can edit
a line item by double clicking the line item, or single click followed by
clicking the Edit Item button. To add retail products or additional
services to the ticket, click the Add button. For more information on
manually adding items, please see Manually Adding
Items.
To remove an Item, click Remove. To Adjust an item, click Edit. The red section lists the money
or tenders applied to this ticket. Tenders are
separated out, so you can accept combinations of payment. For example, you
can have a customer pay with cash and charge. If you have a barcode
scanner connected to your system, you can simply start scanning barcodes to
add items to the ticket. Note: If you scan an item that is not already in
your inventory, the system will alert you so you can manually add the item
to your inventory. This is a convenient way to keep you inventory list up to
date, without having to pre-load your inventory items. You can also pre-load
product lines, see Inventory Setup. |

The yellow section is used to enter tenders. This section is design to speed
cash out, especially for touch screens, but you can use the keyboard as well.
Whole dollar cash amounts are listed at the top for quick payment.
To enter a manual amount, click the tender you want to enter. For example,
lick Check. The check amount in the red section, will now change to green,
indicating you are accepting a check amount. Now you can click in the amount in
the left side of the yellow section, or enter the amount on the numeric
keyboard. For example, if I wanted to enter $12.84, I could click buttons 12,
the period, and 84, or I could enter 12.84 on the numeric keyboard.
Whole dollar amounts do not need to have the .00 entered. For example, if I
want to enter $12, I can just enter 12.
As you are entering amounts, the total due on the bottom right will change.
If the customer owes money, it will say Due, and switch to Change if there is
overpayment. Once the check is balances, not money due, the OK button will be
enabled.
Price Changes
The register system will keep track of price changes for your customers. For
example, if you change the service or item price for the customer, for example
you gave them a 10% discount on the last visit, the register will alter you of
the price change.

In the example above, the customer has a hair cut, that has a charge of
$25.50. The last time he was in, he was charged $20.
Combine Tickets
The cash out system will allow you to combine tickets during cash out. This
process will group the tickets together, giving you the total cost for both
tickets, and will split the tenders between them during close out. Products and
services will continue to be tracked on an individual basis for customer sales
history.
Select the Combine button, and you will see a list if ticket. Select the
ticket you want to combine with the current ticket. You can add as many tickets
as you want.
Manual Credit Cards
If you use an external credit card device, such as a hyperterminal, you can
record your credit card purchases manually during cash out. In the tenders
section, shown in yellow on the screen shot at the top, you have 3 "quick
charge" buttons for the major credit cards. For example, if you take a Visa
charge, you can click Visa, and then punch in the amount on the numeric keypad.
The amount charged will be applied to the ticket and you can cash the customer
out, if there is no balance due.
Note: You can also mix tenders as well. for example, if the customer wants to
pay down the ticket with cash, you can accept a cash payment by clicking Cash,
entering the amount, and also click Visa, and enter the remaining charge amount.
You can do this in any order, for example, you can enter the cash amount and it
will tell you the balance due, then run the remaining amount in the credit card.
You can also add addition credit card accounts to the system. For example, if
you take American Express, you can add that card type to the system in the
Settings section, under Payment Methods,
and it will appear under the Charge button on the Cash Out screen.
