A:
Read I just installed the software, what do I
do?
A: Yes, I do get this question a
lot. Don't wait until the last minute and call, setup your software and practice
before the first day. But in case you don't, you need to get started quickly.
Read the Quick Start Guide asap.
A: Before you can book an
appointment, you must make sure you have at least 1 employee record created,
with Active flag checked (Address Tab), and Include on Daily Schedule (Schedule
Tab) checked. Next, goto the Daily Schedule and click on a green square. This
will bring up the Create Appointment dialog and a Customer Search dialog. Enter
the customer's first name and last name (add a phone number is a good idea but
not required) and click Create New Customer. This will bring you back to the
Create Appointment dialog. Double click on a service from the left hand side
(either an employee service or a house service) to build up the appointment.Once
you have all your service items, just click Create Appointment. For a more
detailed explaination, see Daily
Schedule
section.
A: First,
make sure you have all of your inventory
and services created in the
system that you want to give commission on. Make sure each item is enabled for
commission, by setting the Commission check box for each item. This has to be
set, so review the section on inventory and services. Next, when your selling a
product or service, make sure the Sold By is set for each item sold, so the
system knows who should get commission. Please review the Cashier section for
details. Now, create commission schedules. See Commission Schedules
section for how to create. Next, make sure each employee that is eligible for
commission, has On Commission check box set (on the Payroll tab), and has a
commission schedule set. That's it for setup. Now, when you cash out a ticket
and have closed out the draw, you can go to the Payroll module and process
payroll and commission. See Payroll for details.
A: The system lets you
create paper gift certificates and also use pre-printed mag swipe gift cards.
Please read the Gift Cards and Gift
Certificates section for details on how to create, sell, and redeam
gift cards.
A: You can
create packages or pre-loaded gift card templates to sell packages of services
or retail. Create a gift card template, and when you sell a package to a
customer, create a paper gift certificate and use the template to fill it. The
system will store and track the package sold to the customer. Please read
the Gift Cards and Gift
Certificates section for details.
A: You can double click the item when cashing
out, and you will see a dialog box to adjust the item. Please see Adjusting Entries for details.
A: From the Register screen, either switch to Closed Ticket
View, or select View By Day from the vertical menu on the left. This will switch
to showing you all of the tickets, including closed, delete and voided tickets..
Find the ticket your looking for, and double click it. You will now see a dialog
with a summary of the ticket. From this screen, you can adjust the items on the
ticket, for example, if you need to change the Sold By for any item. If you need
to adjust the payment amounts, tip, customer or employee/tip owner, select
Adjust Details button on the bottom right. The next dialog will let you alter
anything you need about the ticket, including date closed or payment
amounts.
A: Same process as the
prvious question. You can change the date the ticket was closed on.
A: Same proces
as the previous question. Just change the ticket owner.
A: You can create mutilpe appointments by just creating more
than one appointment on the daily schedule. For example, if they have an
appointment with Sally for a hair cut, and an appointment for Bill for a
manicure, create 2 separate appointments on the day schedule. When you check the
customer out, you can combine both appointments into 1 ticket by selecting the
Combine button on the cash out screen. This will combine the ticket for cash
out, but still keep track of who did what service, for commission and sales
purposes.
