Employees

Employees Section

This section lets you create accounts for all of your employees, including your hourly and scheduled employees. In this section, you will setup each employees hours of operation, hourly or salaried payroll information, and vacation schedules.

 

Address

This page setups up your demographic information for your employee.

When creating new employees, be sure to at least enable the Active check box, as show in yellow above. If the employee is not active, they will not appear on the daily schedule.

Time Clock

The Time Clock tab is used to maintain your time clock entries and make manual adjustments. You can also enter your vacation schedule and the daily appointment screen will automatically remove you from the schedule during your vacaction.

To Add a vacation schedule, enter the start and end dates, then click Add. If you need to remove a schedule, click the date entry, and then clock Delete.

The Time Sheet Log window displays your Time Clock entries. You can manually add entries, adjust existing entries, or remote entries. If you need to adjust an entry, you have the option of resetting the pay amount. The pay amount is calculated when the employee clocks out, so future changes in pay rate do not effect past schedules. If you have adjusted the pay rate, and you want to recalculate this entry, check the "Reset pay rate" flag.

Schedule

This page sets up your employees schedule hours.

To help setup your employee, click Use Store Hours to copy your hours over, and then customize. This will help save time.

If this employee should be shown on the Daily Schedule, make sure the check box for Include on Daily Schedule is checked.

Payroll

This page sets up your employees payroll information. You can set up a combination of hourly, salary and comission.

In order to use commission schedules, you will need to define the schedules before selecting this page. To add commission schedule, go to the Commission Schedules section.

Note: Salon Ops does not calculate payroll taxes.

 

Photo

You can record an image for each employee on this tab.

To upload an image, click the ... button, browse for the file,

and attach it to the employee record.

Sales

This tab shows a summary screen of all products and services used/soled by this employee.

You can get more detailed reports in the Reports section.

Notes

 

This tab lets you record and view notes for this employee. To add a new note, just click Insert button.
