Salon Operations |
The first
thing you need to do, is print and read the quick start guide. Its a PDF file
located in the Start Menu for Salon Operations, or can be found online at Quick Start Guide
, and tells you the basic operations you will need to
perform to get started. Here's a quick summary: 1. Install
your serial number and license key, to remove Demo mode. If you purchased the
software, or have a trial version, you should have a serial number and license
key. Also, the store name is encrypted in the license key, to prevent copying,
and should be entered exactly as provided. Go to the section on License keys and Serial Numbers
and enter your information
to remove demo mode. 2. Setup your store in the Settings section. At a minimum, make sure your
hours of operation are entered. 3. Enter your employees and yourself, in the Employees section. Make sure you give yourself
Owner rights and set a password. For the employees that will apear on the daily
schedule, taking appointments, at a minimum, they will need to have the Active
check box enabled on the first tab, and the Include on Daily Schedule check box
enabled on the 3rd tab. Also, be sure they have thier schedules entered in. To
get started, just click Use Store Hours to copy the store hours over. 4. Enter your inventory in the Inventory section. At a minimum, just enter a few
products in, for testing purposes. You don't need to enter barcode in at this
point if you don't want to, you can manually locate items. Be sure to enter a
price for each item. 5. Enter your house services in the Services section. At this point, just enter in the
services you offer at the store, and we will customize the services later. Read
up on the difference between pattern based services, and time based services.
Just enter a few services in to get started. Be sure to enter a price for each,
and do not put the price in the name of the service.
