If you have pcCharge installed,
and you are not able to process credit cards, check the following: 1. Make sure pcCharge is running. You should see an icon
for pcCharge running in your system tray, as seen below highlighted in
yellow. 2. Make sure pcCharge is configured to accept TCP/IP
connections. This is the mechanism Salon Ops uses to communicate with pcCharge.
For instructions on setting up pcCharge, click here,
pcCharge / Verifone.
3. Try a $1 transaction and swipe a credit card. To create a $1 transaction,
go to Cashier, create a Counter ticket, and click Manual Scan. You can enter a 1
time non taxable transaction, and click Ok. Now click pcCharge and swipe a
card. If you get a Declined or Approved message, your setup and ready. If you get
an error as seen below, pcCharge is either not running or not setup for TCP/IP
connection, see step 2. 4. If you see any other message, contact the merchant service provider that
installed pcCharge. They will need to determine if your merchant account is
setup and active. 5. You also need to confirm that you can perform a transaction from pcCharge
using thier Virtual Terminal. Contact the merchant service provide for
