Getting Started
Cashier / Register
Your cashier screen will be one of your most used protions of the software,
so it is designed to handle most of your front desk operations.
The cashier screens consist of a vertical navigation menu bar on the
left shown in Yellow in the image below, application tabs at the top
shown in Blue, action buttons in the top center shown in Red, and your ticket
listin the center shown in Green. The tabs divide your Register into different
tasks. We'll review each tab below.
Tickets Tab
The first tab you see, is the main ticket display, and most of your cashier
operations are started from this screen.

This section of the Register lists tickets sales for the
current batch, and the open drawer. This is your default view, and will
typically be used by your cashier to cash out the customers. The display has
several columns, and will hide certain columns from view, based on what you are
viewing.
Above the ticket list, you have an button bar, with typical actions used on
tickets. Options in this bar, will be enabled or disabled, based on the view you
have active.
Note: When viewing the register by day, if you click Check Out, you will be
prompted to select if you want to close the record on the calendar day, or
today. All tickets closed that are not closed for today, will be closed at the
end of the day.
View MenuThe default view for the
register, is today's open tickets. You can change the view, by
selecting what you want to view, in the menu bar on the left. The
View menu, has the follow view options:
Options - this item will allow you to customize the view
information.
Refresh - this item will refresh the current view. This is useful if
another work station has re-assigned a ticket.
Open - this is the default view, and will list the open tickets
for today. Note: When viewing this option, the columns will
also display the status of today's appointment, next to the ticket
information. This view will show the tickets in ascending order of
the appointment time. Morning unclosed tickets will be at the top of
the list. This will help speed check out.
Closed - this view will show all closed tickets for today. This
view is useful when viewing today's activity, or when you need to
alter or update a closed ticket. This view will show the tickets in
ticket number descending order.
Yesterday - Unclosed - This view will show you tickets that we
not closed out from the previous day. In the event that a ticket was
left open, and the drawer was not closed out, this view will help
you void or closed out the remaining tickets.
By Batch / By Day - These two views are used to review a closed
batch, or to locate a ticket from a previous day. When you select
these two options, and additional filter list will be displayed
above the ticket list. In the case of selecting by day, a calendar
control will appear, and you can navigate to a day you would like to
see.

| Find
Menu The Find menu let's you locate a specific ticket, or
a group of tickets. This feature is useful when you need to adjust
or return a ticket from a previous day, or as long as a couple of
months ago.
By Number / By Date - select this option locate a ticket by
ticket number, or receipt number. The receipt number is the unique
barcode ID or receipt ID printed on each receipt.
Search - select this option when you need to find
a collection of tickets, or a date range.

Drawer Menu This menu option lets you create new tickets,
or change the current drawer.
Select Drawer - allows you to change drawers. Use this option to
set or change the drawer you are currently looking at. All new
tickets will be created in this drawer.
New Ticket - creates a new counter sale ticket.
No Sale - if you have a cash drawer enabled, this will create a
No Sale, and open the drawer.
Pay In - creates a Pay In ticket, so you can add money to the
drawer, and track the entry. These money values are shown on the
Close Out Report and the Z Summary reports.
Pay Out - creates a Pay Out ticket, so you can take money out of
the drawer, and track the entry.
Cash Out - this will cash out the currently highlighted ticket.
You must select a ticket before selecting this option.
Employee - create an employee purchase ticket.

Advanced Menu This menu allows you to act on the entire list of
tickets. This option is useful when used with the Search menu item. For
example, you could search for a range
