Adjusting Ticket Items

This section describes how to adjust or modify an item on an open ticket. When checking out a customer, if you need to adjust the price, give a discount, or change the Sold By, double click the item, and you will see a dialog to change the item.

Note: The changes will be applied to all reports and totals that calculate this ticket. For example, if you change the line item price, the ticket total will be re-calculated, and any report totals will also reflect the change.

Quantity: This lets you adjust the quantity of the line item. The extended sale price will be recalculated when this changes.
Adjust Price: This field lets you change the item price by a fixed amount. For example, you can change the price from $10 to $15.
Apply Discount %: This field lets you apply a discount percentage to the item price. For example, if I want to give the customer a 10% discount, I can enter 10 or .1, and the new discounted amount will appear next to the percentage amount.
Gift Certificate: Selecting this option will discount the item 100% and add this amount to a Manual Gift Card total on the X or Z report.

Deduct From Credit Limit: By enabling this option and the Manual Gift Card option, the line item amount will be deducted from the Credit field for this customer. This can be used with the Customer Points Program to track loyalty or points based systems. Also note, this option will only be visible if the points program is enabled, and the field name will change to represent what you have entered for your points program name.

Leave Open or Re-Do

You can mark a register items a 'Leave Open' or Re-Do, if you want to track items that were not provided at the time or sale, or need to be re-done. When a customer comes back in, you can look up items that are marked for re-do, so you can track what to charge the customer for.

Items can be looked up from the Cash Out screen using the Customer functions, or in the Notes section in the Daily Schedule.

If the customer has open items, you will be alerted with a popup, and you can click the Open tab to view services left open.

To clear the service, double click the item, or click Clear show in Yellow in the picture above.
