How do I upgrade the software?

We post upgrades frequently to the web site, so please visit the site frequently to check for new upgrades. If you would like to be notified of new upgrades, please make sure you have signed up for the mailing list. Click here to join the mailing list.

Note: Before you start the upgrade, please make sure you have closed all your programs. This will save you from having to reboot your system after the upgrade.

To check for or install upgrades, visit our web site at http://www.salonoperations.com,

and on the left, click the Latest Upgrade link to start the download. Click the download link to download the upgrade.exe file. Depending on what type of browser you have, you will have the option to Open or Run the program.

Select Run to start the download.

Note: if you are downloading the upgrade to take into your store, you can Save this file to a USB hard drive or burn to a CD, and run in your store.

Once the upgrade starts running, it will prompt you to Modify/Repair/Remove, select the default option Repair to upgrade the software.

The upgrade will process a couple of SQL updates as well. Depending on how much data you havem the upgrade process may take a few minutes. When everything is complete, you will see the following screen.

After the upgrade, please make sure everything is working properly.
