pcCharge

In order to process credit card transactions in Salon Ops with pcCharge, follow these steps below to configure the system.

Make sure you have pcCharge installed and operational. pcCharge is usually provided by your merchant processor and installed and configured by them. Be sure to have them show you how to do a manual sale transaction in pcCharge as a backup in case your Salon Ops is not communicating with pcCharge.

Also, be sure to talk to them about how to settle the batch at the end of the day. This is a separate process from Salon Ops.

Before attempting to send TCP/IP transaction requests to PCCharge, you must activate the PCCharge TCP Interface. Check the Use TCP/IP Connection option in the Setup | Configure System | Advanced menu of PCCharge Pro or in the Setup | Preferences | Advanced menu of PCCharge Payment Server. You may modify the default port of 31419 if a device is already using that port on your system.
